Fabric Care Guide

Fabric Care Guide

Natural fibres and hand-applied prints reward gentle handling. A little care goes a long way in keeping your ROJIA pieces looking their best for years.

Caring for Cotton

Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold water, using a mild detergent. Wash similar colours together, and avoid soaking coloured pieces for extended periods. Line dry in shade to preserve colour.

Caring for Linen

Linen softens beautifully with wear and wash. Hand wash or machine wash gently in cold water, and avoid wringing the fabric. Linen creases easily by nature; this is part of its relaxed character rather than a flaw. Iron on a warm setting while slightly damp for a smoother finish.

Caring for Cotton-Linen Blends

Follow the same gentle approach as pure linen: cold water, mild detergent, and shade drying. Blended fabrics may soften and drape differently over time as the two fibres settle.

Caring for Hand Block Prints

Our hand block prints are created using traditional techniques, and colours may settle further with the first few washes. Wash separately in cold water for the first two to three washes, avoid harsh detergents and bleach, and dry in shade to protect the print.

General Guidelines

  • Avoid direct sunlight while drying, to prevent fading.

  • Do not wring or twist garments; gently press out excess water instead.

  • Iron on a low to medium setting, ideally on the reverse side of the fabric.

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light.
